Growing Tips for Goo

Goo is a strain that takes at least an intermediate-level grower to cultivate. Goo marijuana plants will thrive indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to completely control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Goo cannabis seeds produce dark green plants with long, thin branches and massive buds.

If you choose to grow outdoors, you will need to hope for consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to completion. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow medium and can reach around 2-6 feet tall. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of less than 6 feet, these plants can grow in smaller grow setups, making it easy to produce multiple plants at a time. 

The ideal temperature for these plants is around 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 30-60% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage, but lowering the humidity every week will help this plant grow. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are consistent and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. 

Topping, Screen of Green (ScrOG), Sea of Green (SOG), High-stress training (HST), and Low-stress training (LST) methods are the best training techniques for this particular strain of cannabis. If performed correctly and at the right time, these techniques will promote bud production and increase final yields. LST and HST manipulate the plants by tying down the branches to increase the size and density of the buds while allowing them to grow almost naturally. Topping is the best and easiest way to control the plant’s height so it can remain manageable. The “Green” methods will reinforce the branches of the plants so the weight of the buds doesn’t bend or break them. The Goo strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative growth stage. This strain does require a change to a 12/12 light cycle to induce the flowering stage of growth.

• Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Goo strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 50-60 days.
• Yields: While Indoor yields are around 800 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 1200 grams per plant. This strain produces some of the heftiest yields in the cannabis marketplace.
• Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the beginning of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.

The Goo cannabis strain terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene and terpinolene are the secondary terpenes.
